VEE230: Radio Communications
  • PLO 3 is in I level because of the fundamentals principals of amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation(FM) receiver and transmitters operation is explain using the block and schematic diagrams. PLO 1-3 are in D level because during the experiment the demonstration of different tools usage, test equipment, circuit tracing using diagrams and safety in handling live AM and FM circuits were expose. PLO 6 is in M level because in the trobleshooting activity the student show the various ways in diagnostic and repair using tools, test equipment, diagrams and safety procedure by following a troubleshooting worksheet in radio communication.
VEE235: Digital Electronics II
  • PLO 3 is in I level because of the topics of fundamentals of logic circuits such as register, memory, storage register, shift register, memory circuit, arithmetic counting circuit, ripple counter, up and down counters, adder, subractor, data conversation, data selector and data distribution network operation, diagrams and circuits were explain and discuss.
  • PLO 2 is in D level because the use of digital multimeter and oscilloscop were demonstrated during the experiments in registers, counters, converters, and digital distribution circuits.
  • PLO 1&2 are in M level because of the experiment, the student measure voltage, monitor waveform according to the digital worksheet and follow safety procedures in working on a live digital circuit.
VEE 240 (Signal Processing)
  • PLO 2&3 are in D level because the student must demonstrate the proper handling of tools and test equipment while performing the experiment in analog/digital signal processing circuits.
  • PLO 1-3 are in M level because after the lesson in introduction of pulse code modulation (PCM) the student perform the experiment using a signal processing worksheet using the different tools, test equipment, analog/digital signal processing diagrams and follow safety procedures as stipulated along each procedure.
VTE 260 (Microwave)
  • PLO 6 is in I level because of the concept and fundamental operation of microwave telecommunication system is explain and discuss.
  • PLO 1-3&6 are in M level because of troubleshooting and repair of microwave system and devices are perform by the student using hand-tools, test equipment, diagram and follow the precautionary measure in handling microwave system while its on transmission and reception mode.
VTE 261 (Fiber Optics Installation)
  • PLO 1 is in I level because the procedure on how to safely and properly splice using mechanical and fusion splicing, terminate using various fiber optic cables and connectors were discuss and explain.
  • PLO 2&4 is in D level because student demonstrate the proper use of the tools and equipment in terminating and connecting fiber optic cables and connectors according to industry standard.
  • PLO 2,4 &6 is in M level because student perform troubleshooting and testing of fiber optics cable using optical domain reflectometer (OTDR), light source and power meter accordingly.
VTE 265(Fiber Optics)
  • PLO 6 is in I level because of the theory and basics of fiber optic technology and its propagation were explain.
  • PLO 1-3&6 are in M level because of troubleshooting and repair of fiber optics devices (connectors, cables and circuits) are perform by the student using different hand tools, test equipment, diagram and follow the precautionary measure in handling fiber optics cable during splicing and testing.
VTE 270 (Telecommunication System)
  • PLO 6 is in I level because of the topics in fundamentals of telecommunication systems used in the industry which include the basic elements in a telecom system, transmission medium types, common switching operations, types of broadcast systems, spread spectrum modulation, computer network (wired and wireless), and the operating principles of satellite systems are describe and discuss.
VTE 280 (Telephone System)
  • PLO 6 is in I level because topics in basic telephone systems and the operation of telephone equipment, cellular telephone systems, basic elements, circuits, and techniques of cellular telephone communication systems were explain. PLO 1-3&6 are in M level because of troubleshooting and repair of telephone set are perform using telecommunication tools, test equipment , diagrams and following safety standard stipulated by the telecommunication industry.
VTE 281(Cellular Phone Servicing)
  • PLO 6 is in I level because of The fundamental operation of cellular telecommunication system, cellular telephone set, basic elements, circuits, and techniques of cellular telephone troubleshooting were explain. PLO 1-3&6 are in M level because of troubleshooting and repair of cellular phone set are performed using cellular phone tools, test equipment , diagrams and following safety standard stipulated by the telecommunication industry.
VEE 250(Cooperative Education)
  • PLO 5 is in D level because of the practicing of proper work ethics and applying the learn skills in telecommunication is demonstrated in industry immersion or on the job training.
