Development of the private sector is key to promoting national economic self-sufficiency/self-reliance, one of the goals of the College. The Business Administration Division offers programs and courses in an effort to address this goal. The associate of science degree program in business administration is designed to provide entry-level skills for those entering the business world, to upgrade skills for those already in businesses, and to provide a stepping-stone for those wanting to
pursue a higher degree in the field. In today’s world, integration of information technology into an organization is indispensable, as we are learning in our island nation. To meet the challenge of keeping up with the world, the Division offers an associate of science degree in computer information systems. The program concentrates on organizational applications of technology and the development of systems and their management. Students receive a fundamental understanding of programming and networking computer systems, which prepare them for high-in-demand careers such as systems analysts, business analysts and database administrators. The Division also offers courses in accounting, business, economics, and computer applications that are required for other associate degree programs.
