Campus Security and Safety

MESSAGE FROM THE SECURITY AND SAFETY SUPERVISOR

On behalf of the Campus Security and Safety Office, I extend our warmest greetings. This message exists to provide the community with essential information, such as security related services, programs, policies and statistics pertaining to crime on campus.

The Campus Security and Safety office exists to ensure and maintain policies of the College of Micronesia-FSM. We are required to facilitate a crime free, safe and peaceful environment for our campus and the surrounding community. We orientate ourselves to promoting and assuring that the environment within the community can accommodate the needs of the students, faculty and other employees through safety and prevention practices. Every contact with a student, faculty, staff or visitor, is an opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of living or working in a learning community. All in all, our mission is to provide a safe, conducive to learning and working environment.

We seek your assistance as a member of this community to join in and contribute your support and understanding towards prevention, awareness and safety. In doing so, you are not only helping yourself, but also other members of this community. I encourage you to carefully review this brochure, especially the prevention tips. Personal safety is a responsibility that each and every one of us bears, and we the Campus Security and Safety Office need your assistance to make our campus a safe environment in which to learn, live and grow. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about campus security and safety at the College of Micronesia-FSM, please feel free to contact me at 320-7017 or e-mail me at chiefsecurity@comfsm.fm.

Sincerely,

Warren Ching
