BK 095 Bookkeeping I
  • BK 095 meets PLO1 at D level because the course covers bookkeeping and accounting procedures used in the accounting system.
  • BK 095 meets PLO2 at the I level because students are introduced to MS Office applications including email basics to complete and email assignments.
  • BK 095 meets PLO3 at the I level through accounting concepts and procedures for a service business.
  • BK 095 meets PLO5 at the I level through the introduction of journalizing, posting, adjusting and closing accounts.
BK 096 Bookkeeping II
  • BK 096 meets PLO1 at the D level because the course builds on what was learned in BK 095, specifically bookkeeping and accounting procedures used in the accounting system.
  • BK 096 meets PLO2 at the I level because students are introduced to MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel, including email basics to complete and email assignments.
  • BK 096 meets PLO3 at the I level because it build on skills learned in BK 095 about the accounting concepts and procedures for a service business.
  • BK 096 meets PLO5 at the I level through the introduction of journalizing, posting, adjusting and closing accounts. Aspects that are also introduced are accounting functions including internal cash control procedures and payroll bookkeeping.
BU 095 Filing, Office Procedures
  • BU 095 meets PLO 2 at the I and D levels because students are introduced and tasked to demonstrate computer and basic technology competence through MS Office applications, Email, and navigating the Internet.
  • BU 095 meets PLO3 at the I and D levels because students are introduced the office workplace and its environment in addition to identifying and demonstrating techniques for being productive in the office.
  • BU 095 meets PLO5 at the I and D levels because students are introduced to office machines and asked to demonstrate their familiarity with them. In addition, students are introduced to different filing systems and are expected to be able to set up their own preferred filing system.
BU 098 Business Math
  • BU 098 meets PLO5 at the D level because students need to understand basic mathematical concepts and basic skills in business applications, business retailing, and business finance and accounting.
BU 100 Practicum
  • BU 100 meets PLO1-5 at the D level because it is the last class and students are expected to demonstrate what they have learned in all the pre-requisite classes.
CA100s Computer Literacy for Secretaries
  • CA100s meets PLO2 at the I and D levels because students are introduced and need to demonstrate general computer competence and information technology literacy with hardware and software, email and the Internet, touch typing, and word processing.
CA101s Computer Applications for Secretaries
  • CA101s meets both PLO2 and PLO5 at the I and D levels because students are introduced and need to demonstrate computer and technology competence and perform business computations with spreadsheets, databases and presentation applications.to spreadsheets
ESL/BU 095 ESL for Business I
  • ESL/BU 095 meets PLO2 with I and D levels because students are introduced and need to demonstrate general computer competence and information technology literacy through composition of documents and submission of documents electronically.
  • ESL/BU 095 meets PLO4 at the D level because students are expected to communicate effectively in English for business purposes through knowledge of English grammar, sentence structure and mechanics of the language.
ESL/BU 096ESL for Business I
  • ESL/BU 096 meets PLO2 with I and D levels because students build on their skills learned in ESL/BU 096 with more word processing skills and website usage skills.
  • ESL/BU 096 meets PLO4 at the D level because students build on their skills learned in ESL/BU 095 to identify the guidelines and acceptable practices in writing business correspondences. In addition, students are taught and are encouraged to produce grammatically correct, effective, and persuasive business documents. Through appropriate websites, students are tasked to maintain and strengthen English grammar skills.
SS 100 World of Work
  • SS 100 meets PLO3 with I and D levels because students are introduced and tasked to demonstrate the proper office procedures and management techniques. These skills are taught through examination of their individual interest and abilities to obtain, maintain and perform their chosen profession and opportunities to practically apply the employment process .
