Kasehlehlie!

This website aims to provide sufficient information and tools  for the COM-FSM Pohnpei Campus Mathematics and Science Division. As the slogan states,  the information technology is harnessed for an alternative teaching-learning platform, thus  benefiting instructors and students alike.

It acts as a facility for instructors where additional course resources can be uploaded and directed to students, as well as utilize the materials herein provided.  Students can make use of any available resources provided by instructors and explore other features, the objective of which is to provide the students enough materials to help them succeed in Mathematics and Science courses as well as gaining insights on other matters.

Sidelights such as Math/Science Jokes, Quotes, Puzzles and Updates give students an alternative view of Mathematics and Science as very  interesting subjects as well as being indispensable in everyday life.  It thus ingrains in students the necessity of learning Mathematics and Science by heart, and that it is not to be  taken lightly.  This website thus gives instructors and students a handy access to important tools and information necessary  to Mathematics and Science courses.  It also imparts practical wisdom useful for everyday life.

Tips could be for students or instructors.

Contributions from anybody from the Purple Family can also be solicited for the Words to Ponder, Your Health Matters, Laughter, the Best Medicine, and Math/Science Updates.  Class outputs such as grades, slo's (student learning outcomes) would be uploaded from time to time.  Prizes will be given for students who can solve the Puzzle of the Week, in the form of additional points in class, $5 gift certificates from the Business Office and other incentives.  Minor puzzles in each Math course correspond to a small item prize, the objective of which is to incite interest in Mathematics.

With all of these, the Math & Science Team hopes to make your web browsing of this site a worthwhile and an enjoyable one.
