Position and Salary:

Sponsored Programs Facilitator
P–9 $14,104 – $15,444 PA

Duties: Under general supervisor of the IRPO Director, the Sponsored Program Facilitator will provide coordination and oversight of externally funded programs administered by the College of Micronesia-FSM. In this capacity, the incumbent will serve as a technical expert on grant and contract administration and will provide oversight of program evaluation, program management and administration requirements; will interact with granting agencies and advice directors , project managers and the faculty and staff on grant requirements; will serve as the chair and coordinate the activities of the Sponsored Program Committee; Conduct research on the internet for grant opportunities; will review the budget and operational portions of grant applications and grant process/status reports; will assist with the development of budgets as necessary; will ensure fiscal and performance compliance with grant requirements; will conform with audit requirements and will be responsible for the creation of project management; grant writing and editing training materials. Work closely with all sponsored programs directors and staff to maximize the reporting of timely reports and the coordination of information and will assist in facilitating sponsored program priorities, especially fiscal and human resource functions, within the administrative regulations of the College.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an US accredited four year college majoring in liberal arts, business administration, business, public administration, or a related field; (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the administration of a federal grant or related field; knowledge of sponsored programs, assessment instrument and educational methodology would be an advantage. At least four years experience working in an office setting with reporting requirements preferred.
