Duties: Under the direction of the Director of Development & Community Relations, the Administrative Specialist is responsible for the following: collect, input, and update data on weekly basis of fundraising donors and prospective donors; Inventories total contributions and submit to DCR Director regularly; Compile statistical report and information for the office use and for decision making monthly and quarterly; Keep track of public relations requests from COM-FSM offices and divisions; Update and maintain records on advertisements, announcements, and other public relations activities; Organize, set up, and serves as an administrative staff for DCR’s meetings; Maintain DCR office files and records; Research on prospective donors and provide timely feedback on findings; Provide technical assistance to those seeking advice form the DCR office; Maintain sensitive data of all employees and donors; Maintains alumni information; Type and file documents on a need basis; Serve on committees; Gather data needed for grant writing; work with all campuses to maintain system-wide calendar of activities and events; Keep sections of the General Catalog up-to date; Compile and produce public relations materials for review by DCR Director; Work with minimal or no supervision; Perform other tasks to be assigned by the DCR Director. Expected to be willing to learn and develop skills to improve work and the College. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, and computer information with two years of progressive experience working in the areas of office management, fundraising, mass media, or any related fields. A bachelor’s degree in education is acceptable if combined with an AS degree in computer information system. Ability to: Organize and maintain office files; Communicate effectively with different kinds of people; Work effectively in a group setting; Read, comprehend, and write complete reports in English; Interpret data; work well using computer and working with spreadsheets, Demonstrated ability to employee critical thinking on tasks. Good interpersonal skills and initiative abilities are essential. Basic Knowledge: Fundraising and public relations; working with minimal; photography, video, audio, and internet programs and applications.
