1 9 Manipulating Multiple Windows

1 A "window" is a place to show the text of a node.  Windows have a view
1 area where the text of the node is displayed, and an associated "mode
1 line", which briefly describes the node being viewed.
1 
1    GNU Info supports multiple windows appearing in a single screen; each
1 window is separated from the next by its mode line.  At any time, there
1 is only one "active" window, that is, the window in which the cursor
1 appears.  There are commands available for creating windows, changing
1 the size of windows, selecting which window is active, and for deleting
1 windows.
