Shaking sporters

A soccer team just became first in the national league. The players which were on the field just after the referee blew the final signal wanted to congratulate each other by shaking hands. Assuming that each player shook hands with every other player only once, how many time were the hands shaken in total? (There are of course 11 players in a soccer team)

For MS095 students:

A company makes two types of wedding albums. The revenue from the sales of album A and album B is described by 85A + 128B. The total cost of making the two wedding albums is described by 62A + 98B.

(a) Write an expression in simplest form that describes the net.

(b) If the company sells 320 of wedding album A and 450 of wedding album B in one month, what is the net profit or loss?

For MS096 students:

A compact disk has a diameter of 5 ¾ inches.  On a CD, no information is placed within a circle in the center of the CD with a diameter of 1 ¾ inches.  Find the area of the CD that can contain information.

For MS099 students:

A total of 1000 tickets were sold for the play. The tickets were priced at $4, $5, and $10. If twice as many $4 tickets were sold as $5 tickets, and the total receipts were $4900, how many tickets at each price were sold?

For MS100 students:

Find all solutions of:
