Algebra Tutor is a drill and practice software companion to Aufmann's Introduction to Algebra with Basic Math Second Edition. Each individual subsection (e.g., 7.1a, 7.1b, etc.) has a brief explanation of the material in that subsection. This is followed by randomly generated multiple choice questions with three or four answers from which the student can choose. The software displays the correct working of a problem after the student fails to select the correct answer two or three times. The software is self-paced and, after initial training, usually requires no further supervision.

Larson's Interactive Algebra and Trigonometry CD-ROM is a companion to Larson's Algebra and Trigonometry 4^th edition textbook. The CD-ROM features extensive explanations on a section by section basis. There are also examples, animations, interactive graphing screens, and guided problem solving capacities built into the program. The exercises in the CD-ROM duplicate those found in the text book.
