JUSTIFICATION FOR FILLING NEW OR VACANT POSITION Person will serve as chair and sole faculty member of Exercise Sport Science division.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List what is expected of the position) Teach 14-15 contact-hour course load each semester in physical education, some of which may be at night and off-campus. Work 3-4 hours per week with the college’s recreation program. Fulfill other faculty responsibilities such as committee work, academic advisement, developing outlines, registration, division planning, performance based budget development, and assessment including program level student learning outcomes assessment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Division of Academic Programs or the Vice President for Instructional Affairs. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the College of Micronesia-FSM.

QUALIFICATIONS	Minimum of Master's degree in physical education or equivalent field. Primary interest in and firm commitment to the teaching/learning process in the two-year college. Experience in instructional design, and new course and program development based on measurable student learning outcomes. Experience in adapting courses to students with different abilities, physical, or medical challenges; in developing adaptive fitness courses. Ability to work effectively with Pacific island minority students; colleagues, and staff. Overseas teaching experience a plus.
EXPERIENCE	Experience appropriate to the task of building out a new program, teaching, and curriculum development.
