The Division of Natural Science and Mathematics will supply a single copy of each text an instructor requires for their coursework.
If an instructor wishes to have a second copy so that one copy can be kept at school and one can be kept at home, the instructor will have to pay for the second copy.
If an instructor is taking another instructor's course for credit, then that instructor has to purchase the text for the course.
If an instructor is sitting in another instructor's course, whether by auditing the course or by informal arrangement, then that instructor has the option to purchase the text for the course.
The above rules hold even wherein there are other extant division copies of the textbook due to considerations of fairness and equal treatment.
