the answer to that question is, "NO! THE INDUCTION FOR THIS SEMESTER IS STILL ON." and the date is this saturday Oct. 27, 07 @ 6 PM, (rehearsal and setup are @ 9 AM) in the practice gym. If you are an inductee, dont just stare at the screen/ monitor, come on over and get your invitations and the informations you need to know about the induction.
dont worry about what trae said about Phi Theta kappa, i'm sure she doesnt mean it dat way....lol!
Wooooww!! I can't beleive I never came in here before..okay, I knwo that the ones before put the comments up way in 2007...but gush, does everyone just don't care what honor society is? people, let me tell u wat...Phi Theta kappa is just for one's own benefit and if you're not a member, u can always become one whenever u want to and always keeping in mind the 3.5 GPA...once u get in, u know ur all good....and if u stay active....ur a member for eternity....the college should be proud of these students especially when they are supposedly the students who always try bettering the college... I mean, in school we learn...we go to class everyday to learn...but becoming a member of such a society or will only help you develop ur skills..from leadership, to fellowship, service, and scholarship....u go out there and u know they'll find you....they'll be all over you asking u to apply for their scholarships....see, this honor society is not for students who are smart...but its for students who have a heart that is willing to learn and be better...a heart that is hard working and appreciate the opportunities that are being given and knows how to balance one's life out....it's not about those who think they're all that....its what you do and accomplish that make others recognize or even respect you....
LOL...k, now i really wanna find out who you guys are...lol...ihmwo, i just got in here because i'm new in here..talking about ignorant...lol...i was when i didn't bother to become a member...now, i'm glad that I'm here. Off course, Phi Theta Kappa is suppose to be the most active society. It should be the society that captures everyone's attention...but this will never happen if students keep thinking that this is just a society for some ranked students....no, this society is here because it can really help us...It's not just some organization...it's a Honor Society....which means one gets recognition for the good and hard work that he or she has and have been doing. It's a society that helps motivate students academically, socially and globally connected to others who are also familiar with it. the problem that most of our students do is that when they become members and then come to dislike some members, they just backed out; but your not suppose to do that, ur suppose to see the weakness of the group and try help bettering it...apweia, we should always try thinking positively because we can only improve that way.
"academically, socially and globally connected"....what is this pledging season..just kidding.....I think POU is right........if you want to be academically, socially and globally recognized......join the PTK
LOL....it sounds funny but really, you should...oh, and for those who are interested....u should know that we're having our induction this saturday at 11:00 AM and if anyone's interested, or just wanna get the idea of what its like, then just come over....everyone's welcome....just be a bit formal....thanks...
sory for the late comin...so,likejang..wat was that? oh, we also have a new office at the admissions building; it's one of the old counselor's offices...if anyone has questions, feel free to go there. no one will neglect to help you out...so, what was ur thinking likejang?
your right.. awata... ya'll should really think of joining.. and it doesn't matter what age you are.. FYI, we just had a new inductee that I think was about 30-40 yrs old.. DOn't believe me??? Check out the picture on the COM website on the new inductees this 2009 semester!! It's posted! You all are missing out on PTK... It's on the president's update.. do yourselves a favor and check it out.. It won't benefit anyone else but you... Take my advice peeple!! You might think it's not beneficial at the present time but it'll be definitely worth it in the long run!
On the recent induction... The young man who did the invocation was awesome!!! More2luv would agree with me on this... What's the young man's name again??
You right Takimo... I'm in full agreement.. unfortunately I can't remember.. LOL! As for you Awata, all I gotta say to you is that I'm just tryna help you know? But one can only help a person who wants to be helped... The rest is up to the individual themselves.. It's not about Luvin the society dude, it's getting socially involved, globally connected, and possibly attaining opportunities that won't be available to you in most of the organizations, clubs, etc....
thanks to Awata...ur welcome and whoever need more help or questions, let us know, our PTK office is at the Admissions office....other than, we are also hosting what we call the Project Graduation...come help us out by donating school supplies for our schools that need more help.....thank you everyone and Happy summer!
I really missed my opportunity in joining the Phi Theta Kappa. I always thought of joining it. Since my grades are low around in 2 points, I can't. I know I won't join unless I get 3 points.
