Can all the building clocks here on campus have the same time. we need to know which is the correct time and which should we depend on inorder to get in class on time. some clocks are ten minutes faster and some are ten minutes very slow.

Don't you all think that its a good idea?

    Serepain,

Its really good you brought that up. I myself believe that that should be consider by the administration to avoid students to be 5-10 mins late into their next class. Most instructors do follow the time of the wall clock situated in each classroom.

Thank you serepain and T.F-T.F for bringing that up...

Last Tuesday, I had a class that ends at 1:55 and I also had one at 2:00.. After my 1:55 class and when I went to my 2:00 class, the instructor has commenced lecture.. I was 5 min. late.. The instructor didn't care whose fault it is.. I don't blame anybody for my tardy, but the wall clock in each classroom should all have the same time...

true that, true that...but not all the people look at the clocks on the walls...sometimes they look at their watches...so for that problem we have to also look at the fact that most students follow their time and cell-fone times... that is a great idea though... i support you guys in anyways about the times on the walls of every building on this campus...

Guess what guys...I was really late for my 14:00 class this afternoon. Same situation as to the one mentioned by our very own Master of Disguise (I still haven't figured you out yet..LOL). Anyways, at 10 mins till 1400, I informed my teacher that its about time we wrap things up but she declared that we still have 15 more mins. Upon entering my next class, our teacher did informed us that we are 30 mins late.

So I strongly believe that setting/following one particular would help alot in tardiness and will also solve the other problem that Nite had mentioned (I also dont blame anyone). This way each student can reset their wristwatches so we all have the same time to share and follow.

Kalangan and enjoy the rest of the week

Has any of the people in the office read this Discussion??????? its seems that this is not getting anywhere.... are their any officials in this area other then our Chief?

This was resolved a number of years ago. The official time on campus is determined by the time shown at:
    http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Micronesia/s/11
You may have to click on a "Disable Java" link at the top if you do have Java on your computer. The time shown is based on atomic clocks in Boulder, Colorado and is the official international time on which the Internet, GPS satellites, and Continental all operate. Other sources that are synchronized with this time and can display it are GPS receivers, the cell phone network, and computers which have been set to receive a time signal from a time server. Even our own shark server is set up to relay this time to those computer which are set to synchronize to Internet time. That time signal is also what determines the "age" of a post in this very forum.

The complication is that the wall clocks are not set to this time... they drift.

Is that the time that all the instructors are using? it will make no difference if we fallow that time and the instructors follow a different time. we raise this hoping that we all, the instructors and students, follow the same time so that we can all be ON time..

Well the URL is helpful and we were informed about it in our MS150 class spring 2007. The thing is that the time I have on my cell is three minutes faster than that time (US time) but still some teachers claim that its too fast and that their time is the correct one. So I guess this answers Serepain's question..."Is that the time ALL instructors are using?"

i will want to add more one more here...just want to ask the instructor esp..those that keeps there student untile the time for the next class past...cus most of us need to get to our next class early or else wer gonna be late..so may kindly ask if whenever u see that it is almost time for next class..kindly cut down ur lecture to the next day to meet..there is always next time....but the students tardy times is limited..u know i have face alot of problem being late to mah next class because of the overtime lecture..the worst thing i hate is..being the last person to get into the class when everybody are seated in their seat already....what would u feel if you were me?..think everybody will have different feelings for that...okay think das all...anybody have comment after me?

wel toudou and hatabil...lemee ask you one question here ....can u quietly stand up to leave trying to ingnore the lecture while everybody are sitting waitin for the teacher to say ..YOU CAN GO?..i dink we can not just walk out in the middle of a lecture ...so thats why am askin for the teachers to be more polite and concern about our next class
  6.
Lil KoTuRuNgaw... u must remember that is your time that is at jeopardy, and not the instructors. Do what you feel is best. If all else fails, you can always punch the instructor in the face.

    LOL
