COM-FSM features China photo exhibition for 2008 Olympic at National Campus

Palikir - The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is holding a photo exhibition of Chinese culture at the College of Micronesia-FSM National Campus Cafeteria. This exhibition is part of the PRC’s efforts to promote the 2008 Olympic Games which will be held in Beijing, China, from August 8 – 24.

The exhibition commenced on the 25th of March and will last for 10 days. The photographic posters that are exhibited feature the life and culture of the people of the PRC. From over 60 posters that were presented by the PRC Embassy in Pohnpei, a selection of more than 20 are displayed at the COM-FSM National Campus for public viewing.

The College of Micronesia – FSM and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China invite members of the public to this event. The opening ceremony included students and offcials from the COM-FSM administration and from the FSM and PRC governments on Pohnpei. This exhibition will place the FSM among other countries that are featuring similar events to promote the 2008 Olympic Games. The photographic posters were presented by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China. This is also made in conjunction with the celebrations of the 58th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
