STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

General

To develop a basic understanding of Japanese language as a prerequisite to HRM 200 Japanese For Hospitality Management. Basic Japanese language skills are needed before the student can go to mastering specific situational Japanese language for the hospitality setting.

1. Explain the basics of pronunciation and Romanization.
2. Demonstrate greetings and farewells.
3. Demonstrate useful expressions.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of numbers and counting.
5. Recite specific situational dialogue exchange.
