Yap Campus Holds All Campus/General Assembly Meeting for Fall 2013

(Colonia, Yap) - COM-FSM Yap Campus held its first All Campus meeting for Fall 2013 on Monday, August 26, 2013.  This gathering served as a monthly all campus meeting and as a general assembly for Yap Campus community. Over 130 students and members of the campus community attended the meeting.

Campus Dean Lourdes Roboman gave the opening remarks and welcomed everyone. She encouraged new students to get to know all staff and faculty members so they can seek assistance when they have inquiries or need help.

Acting Instructional Coordinator Joy Guarin introduced all faculty members including two new faculty members Joseph Aliberti and Francis G. Anefal. Mr. Aliberti joins the college from New York and will be teaching English/ESL classes. Mr. Anefal recently returned from China Normal University and will teaching Chinese Language & Literature at Yap Campus on a part-time basis.

Student Services staff reminded students of the college’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and important dates for graduation applications and financial aid documents.  Student Services also announced open nominations for the SBA officers and provided forms for students to nominate peers for the SBA officer positions.
