50/Plenty Christmas Raffle: Collections Meter Now Activated

The month of family time and fun. 

We want to introduce to you an opportunity to win cash prizes for the extra fun expenses while contributing to the college’s Endowment Fund.

We offer you the COM-FSM 50/Plenty Christmas Raffle.

How does the 50/Plenty work?

Each campus is conducting its own 50/Plenty raffle. Fifty percent of all funds collected by each campus will be donated to the College of Micronesia-FSM Endowment Fund. Each campus will subdivide its remaining 50 percent into five cash prizes with a decrement of 50 percent from the first to the fifth prize.

Suppose National Campus raise $5,000. Fifty percent, which is $2,500, goes to the Endowment Fund. The prizes would be as follows: 1st = $1,250; 2nd = $625; 3rd = $312.50; 4th = $156.25; and 5th = $78.13. The same formula is used by all campuses.

We have three categories for ticket sellers: Students, Faculty/staff, and Friend of COM-FSM. The person who sells the most number of tickets for each category receives a monetary prize. Also, for every five tickets sold, a seller is entitled to receive a free entry ticket into the drawing.

We encourage students, faculty/staff and your family and friends to register with us as ticket sellers.

Tickets are selling for $1 each.

Please contact your campus dean or the Director of Development and Community Relations to purchase your tickets or to register as a ticket seller.

The drawing date for Pohnpei, National and Chuuk campuses will be on Friday, December 21, 2012. The drawing date for Yap and FSM-FMI campuses will be on December 28, 2012.  The drawing date for Kosrae Campus will be on January 4, 2013.
