[Announcement] New Online Research Database And EBSCO Extension
The Learning Resources Center has recently acquired access to several new databases.
New Subscriptions
Patient Education Reference Center (PERC)
PERC via EBSCOHost is specifically targeted for Nursing and Public Health research. The PERC database contains information on more than 4,000 common diseases, over 759 procedures and lab tests, 2800 lifestyle and wellness topics, and over 1500 unique drugs. Discharge and home care information for more than 1000 related topics is also available.
TRIAL Databases
EBSCO eBooks Collection
The EBSCO eBooks Collection contains more than 94,400 eBook titles on a broad range of academic subject matter.
Trial access to EBSCO eBooks Collection expires on December 1, 2012.
Cengage Databases
Cengage Databases provides access to Academic OneFile, Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL), and Student Resources in Context. Academic OneFile compiles full text articles from journals and reference sources covering topics on physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, fine arts, theology, literature, and others. GVRL is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Student Resources in Context merges reference content with full-text articles, news articles, images, videos, and audio files made available through new search features such as Search Assist.
Trial access to Cengage Databases expires on December 15, 2012.
