College of Micronesia-FSM to Release Supplemental Financial Aid Grant Funding to Students

The college received supplemental grant funding, on January 14, 2021, for students from the U.S. Department of Education under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021(CRRSAA) in the amount of $1,820,157.00. Students may use this grant funding for any component of the cost for attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or child care. Students may use the financial aid grant to satisfy outstanding account balance IF the student provides written or electronic affirmative consent.

Eligible students are those registered for spring 2021 as of Feb. 4, 2021.

Students in Pohnpei may pickup checks from the National Campus Business Office between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm as follows:     

                                    February 16        Those students last names beginning with A - E

                                    February 17        Those students with last names beginning with F - L

                                    February 18        Those students with last names beginning with M - S

                                    February 19        Those students with last names beginning with T- Z

**Students must wear a mask and present COM-FSM ID to pickup check.

OR if the student in Pohnpei prefers to have the check deposited to his/her bank account, please submit the account number to the Business Office at National Campus. (Email is okay).

Students at Kosrae Campus, Chuuk Campus, and Yap Campus need to submit personal bank account information to the fiscal officer at the state campus. The check will be deposited to the student’s account. This account must be in the student’s name.
