Secretaries Attend Website Update Training

 

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (June 19, 2012)  - College secretaries from the National Campus took part in a training session today on how to post information to the college website directly.

The training is part of a series of improvement activities to make the college's website the primary information hub for the college.  More students are relying on the college’s website as their main information source for the college.

The training will enable other offices and programs of the college to directly post their announcements and information to the college website. Currently, only the staff from the Information Technology and Development and Community Relations offices have direct access to update the website.

With the new change, each office or program of the college will have the access and skillset to post announcements and share information to the entire college community from their duty stations. This accessibility will be available from anywhere in the world where Internet services are available.

The training is part of a series of trainings developed to farm out direct access to update parts of the college website to people responsible for providing services at the college. The current training is only focusing on direct posting of announcement and information to the website. Further training sessions will focus on major content upload.

The same training for campus secretaries will take place at Pohnpei Campus on June 20, 2012, and eventually at other campuses.

The participants of the training at the National Campus included Hadleen Hadley, Sinobu Lebehn, Josephine Kostka, Mary Allen Manuel, Julia Eldridge, and Yolina Yamada. The training was conducted by Webmaster Shaun Suliol, and Development and Community Relations staff Joseph Saimon.
