Japanese Language Program for Overseas Students
The program offers FSM students with outstanding Japanese language skills an opportunity to visit Japan so as to deepen their knowledge about the language and culture.
The program is scheduled September 5 - 19, 2018. Those interested in the program are required to submit applications to the Embassy of Japan in FSM no later than April 25, 2018 at 5:00pm. An examination will be held at the Embassy of Japan on May 11, 2018 at 2:00pm. The examination contains a short interview in English and basic Japanese and a written test of Japanese language.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must have studied Japanese language
- Applicant must be between 18 and 54 years of age. Any applicant under 20 requires parental permission.
- Applicant must not have stayed in Japan for more than 7 consecutive days in the last five years at the starting of the program.
- Applicant is not scheduled to come to Japan for study or language training except under this program by the end of March, 2019.
- Applicant must not have received compulsory education in Japan for more than three years.
