President's Message to the Community

COM-FSM Mission Statement:
The College of Micronesia-FSM is a learner-centered institution of higher education that is committed to the success of the Federated States of Micronesia by providing academic, career and technical education programs characterized by continuous improvement and best practices.
Dear Colleagues and Fellow Members of the COM-FSM Community,
During the All Campus Meeting scheduled at the National Campus on October 21, 2015, the Comptroller shared “Fall 2015 Enrollment and its Implications to the 2016 Budgetâ€.
Table 1 presents the Fall 2015 Actual Revenue compared to the projected budget for Fall 2015 in the areas of: tuition; registration, health, student activity fees; and facility fees. The table indicates a shortfall of 7.42% for Fall 2015. There will need to be adjustments to the 2016 budget to prevent a budget deficit for 2016 Fiscal Year.

As stated in the All Campus Meeting, we will need to work together across the college to address the revenue shortfall.
