Land Grant Program This program is funded both in part and whole by the USDA Land Grant College. The main focus of this program is research and cooperative extension work. Agriculture experimentation stations are involved in tissue culture research and propagation of bananas which include Kufwafa and vitamin A-rich kulontol and kulasr. Taro propagation has gained its place in the research as well. Cooperative extension services are also provided to the villagers in sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and sewing. Home gardening techniques and poultry production are tested by extension agents with local young farmers. Homemakers take advantage of intensive classes in sewing, cooking, and economics.

Upward Bound Program This TRIO program is funded by the USDOE. Its primary role is to increase the rate of students completing college by preparing them at high school in English, science, mathematics, study skills, and cultural skills. Serving underserved students, UBP picks nearly 10% of 10th to 12th graders and provides tutoring sessions, Saturdays and summer classes. Counseling sessions are conducted regularly for academic, career choice social issues, and college financial aid. For graduating seniors a summer bridge program is given on a specific need area. An alumni tracking program is in place to follow up alumni progresses.
