Peer Counseling Center The objective of this program is to conduct counseling sessions to youth on Kosrae on health and social related issues. Currently situated at Kosrae High School and operated by the College, the program receives it funding from United Nations UNICEF and U.S. Department of Health Services. Addressing needs of the community the College provides opportunities in continuing education by organizing workshops on specific topics to upgrade job skills of both public and private sectors. Computer literacy: Microsoft Windows, Excel, Publisher, Word, Powerpoint and internet searches. Other non credit courses can be tailored to meet specific needs. The College is proudly partnering with the Kosrae Department of Education to carry out its vision of improving standards of Kosrae teachers by offering courses in its certification program. In other service areas as libraries, tutoring centers, and computer laboratories, the Department contributed to our post secondary and outreach programs such as Upward Bound, GEARUP, and Land Grant as in-kind. Teaming with the Department of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries the College collaborates its agricultural research at the MPPRC to propagate bananas and taro and does other plant research. In the CA Agriculture and Food Technology a strong collaboration is built around DALF Animal division, Land Grant sustainable agriculture, and the College with the objective to certify 50 farmers within ten years.
