- Perform accounting, bookkeeping, and fiscal management duties to ensure accurate financial records for the campus.
- Maintain income, expenditure, and budgetary control accounts for campus operations.
- Review and process accounting documents to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Prepare payroll documentation, employee time and attendance reports, and monthly financial statements for submission to the Business Office.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the campus annual budget, providing expenditure and revenue data as needed.
- Reconcile appropriation and bank accounts, verify deposits, and ensure proper documentation of cash receipts.
- Prepare and maintain financial and statistical reports for campus management and Business office review.
- Serve as purchasing and receiving liaison, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.
- Support internal control practices and assist with audit preparation and responses.
- May provide functional direction to clerical or accounting support staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Associates Degree from a US accredited College in Accounting, business administration, or related fields that include coursework in financial accounting and other fields of accounting, and with five (5) uears pf experience in progressively responsible professional accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Foreign credentials must be evaluated to meet US standards in the field of work using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Must have at lease two years of progressive experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and internal control. Must be proficient in using Excel and other Microsoft Office suite and must have at least four (2) years of experience in using any accounting software. Knowledge of: principles, practices, and techniques of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted methods of evaluating financial performance. Ability to: prepare and analyze financial statements, policies, and procedures, and discern internal control and related problems; communicate effectively; work as part of a team in accomplishing tasks and functions. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
