Reporting/Supervising:
This position reports directly to the Accountant V.
Duties:
Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of SIS Student's Account across the college. Prepare and summarize monthly revenue report. Ensure accuracy and timely submission and processing of refund request. Reconcile students' accounts. Input cash collection. Encumber and liquidate special contract. Input and reconcile budget. Prepare AR listing and aging report. Prepare grant billings. Assist students, faculty and staff in processing Travel Authorizations (TAs) loans, and other services of Business Office. Analyze accounts and prepare necessary adjusting entries. Supervise work study and other part time contracts assign at business office. Assist in servicing students, staff, faculty and other clients at the Business Office Counter. Assist year-end external audit work. Handle other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a US accredited College in Accounting, business administration or related fields that include coursework in financial accounting and others fields of accounting and with four [4] years of experience in progressively responsible professional accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards in the field of work using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Must have at least four years of progressive experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and internal control. Must be proficient in in using Excel and other Microsoft office suite and must have at least four (4) years' experience in using any accounting software. Knowledge of: principles, practices, and techniques of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted methods of evaluating financial performance. Ability to: prepare and analyze financial statements, policies and procedures, and discern internal control and related problems; communicate effectively; work as part of a team in accomplishing tasks and functions. At least four years of supervisory experience in accounting or related field is preferred.
