Duties:
Reporting to the HR Director, the HRM Specialist I will carry out the major following functional responsibilities and additional necessary duties to meet HRO needs and programs:
Responsible for providing support and services for Employee Performance Evaluation
  1. Issue annual (and others as needed) reminders to supervisors
  2. Review employee performance evaluation forms for accuracy and corrections
  3. Update employee listing resulting from step increments and other changes
  4. File employee evaluations accordingly and timely
  5. Distribute personal actions, employee evaluations and contracts to employee and relevant offices within established timelines
  6. Maintain an electronic file on improvement plans per year and follow up on improvement plans and ensure scheduled activities take place or make recommendations to resolve recurring delayed and problematic areas
  7. Maintain and update electronic file and manage future evaluation application/module
  8. Provide support toward training in this area
  9. Type personnel actions and contracts resulting from employee evaluations
  10. Communicate and coordinate with relevant offices to process documents timely
  11. Conduct research in the functional areas and make relevant recommendations for improvement to procedures, policies and forms, etc.
  12. Create and maintain quarterly and annual reports electronically and hard copy on all activities above
Serve on committees and Provide support in other areas of HR and data needs
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, management or related field from a US accredited institution. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Two years of progressively responsible professional experiences in Human Resources or comparable work function. Evidence of successful experience and skills carrying out the duties above and including handling of confidential information. Good work ethics including excellence attendance records, evidence of administrative work equivalent to duties of this position. Ability to multi task, organize, coordinate multiple activities concurrently. Some electronic information management and experience in electronic file sharing and communication with a wide range of audience.
Software Program: Must know and comfortable in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, Applications such as Google and Dropbox.
Special Skills: Must evidence good communication skills in writing (English), use of electronic and oral. Good listing skills and note taking.
Ability to: Understand and follow complex instructions written and orally given; communicate effectively; analyze, interpret, and use sound logic and judgment in application of a variety of administrative rules and regulations; work with diverse faculty, staff and students; work as part of a team in accomplishing tasks and functions; work independently to accomplish specific assigned goals.
Flexibility: Must be available to support the mission and goals of the office when needed including working additional hours and weekends when needed, follow established procedures to achieve tasks independently and facilitate better communications within and beyond the unit.
Knowledge: Must evidence knowledge and understanding of the operation of a modern fast pace small unit with major expectations for achievements.

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience which support capability for major duties of this position may be considered in the absence of candidates who meet the published MQs while professional development will be required as condition of the job.
