Duties:

Under the supervision of the CRE Coordinator, the agent will:

  • Provide health information and advice to clients
  • Plan outreach activities in the communities based on program plan of work
  • Develop outreach materials for the activities
  • Collaborate with government agencies and other agencies on health activities and projects
  • Evaluate program activities and programs
  • General report on program results and accomplishments
  • Write weekly, monthly, and annual reports
  • Prepare grant proposals for health projects
  • Develop individual Plan of Work (IPOW) based on NIFA plan priority areas when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned including serving on committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree from a US accredited college in one of the following fields: human nutrition, dietetics, nursing, or education. Foreign credentials must be equated to US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Four years of full time work experience in the area of work. Software programs: Must have experience and working knowledge of Microsoft office, word, excel, publisher and power point. Abilities and knowledge: Demonstrate successful ability and skills in speaking both formal and informal public setting; ability to communicate effectively with employees, community members, government officials and supervisors. Preferred: Bachelors degree level with two years of fulltime progressive work experience in the field of work.
