Duties:

Under the supervision the of CRE Coordinator, the incumbent will keep and maintain record keeping of all business transactions for the program, reconcile expenditures against approved budget, work closely with the COM-FSM Business Office, CRE Director’s Office and COM land grant central office to ensure compliance and accuracy of accounts and expenditures. This position will also responsible for preparing purchase requests, maintaining and reconciling of petty cash account, and providing quarterly statements through VPIA’s Office to all necessary offices.

Minimum Qualifications:

College graduate with an AS/AA in Business preferred from a US accredited college. Six months experience in direct accounting work. Two years of related work experience involved in posting of accounting records and other systematizing of fiscal information is preferred. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of standard arithmetic and spelling and possession of the abilities to follow oral and written directions, to write simply and directly and to observe differences in words and numbers quickly and accurately. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting classification and terminology pertinent to accounts maintenance operations and office practices and procedures relating to the preparing, processing and recording of transactions and accounting information. Ability to perform technical, accounting, recording keeping, and transmittal of financial and other related reports. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of excel. Foreign credentials must be equated to US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org.
