Duties:
Under the Director to the Learning Resources Center (LRC), the person in this position will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining, developing, and coordinating the LRC’s government documents collections
  • Selecting content that meets the needs of the primary library users and the general public
  • Responsible for ensuring all regulations for the government documents collection are fulfilled
  • Collaborating with faculty and students to promote the use of the government documents collections
  • Providing reference services to users at the Circulation desk
  • Serve on committees and perform duties to support the unit.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in library science and related field from a US accredited college and five years of work-related experience in managing collections of a library within a higher education setting. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Proficient communication skills; ability to train or conduct workshops on government collections. Must have experience using library automation programs within a higher education setting. Must have experience with collection development, library instruction, and assessment of library use.
Preferred Qualifications:

Masters’ degree in library, information science and/or related fields.
