Under the supervision of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Services and Campus Dean, the student services coordinator is responsible effective coordination, delivery, and enhancement of student support services and activities at the campus. Student support services include finical aid, admissions and records, guidance and counseling and tutoring services, safety & security, health services, and student sports and recreational activities, student clubs and organization.

Duties:
  1. Plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of student support services units and all other related functions or areas in enrollment management and student services at the campus in coordination or collaboration with the VPEMSS, FAO, OARR, Counseling and DSL at the National Campus.
  2. Plan, organize, direct and administer activities and services that support students in assigned areas and ensure that such activities and services remain with budgetary limit. Ensure the seamless delivery of support services, activities, programs for students through cooperative, collaboratively, and timely efforts with academic and administrative services units.
  3. Work closely and effectively with other college departments, academic programs, and administrative units to actively contribute to initiatives and efforts designed to foster student success, attract and retain students, and deliver quality student support services and activities.
  4. Represents the college on- and off-campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Plans and implements recruitment activities for prospective students including assisting in the administration of the college’s entrance tests and other related tasks.
  5. Assess and evaluate student support services, activities, programs for the purpose of carrying out and achieving objectives, continuous quality improvement and meeting accreditations standards and other requirements. Maintain data bases on student participation level and program/services outcomes.
  6. Hire, orient, and supervise student support services staff by performing such things as: direct, schedule, provide performance feedback, evaluate, suggest professional development, and where necessary, discipline direct reports and contracted employees.
  7. Assist in formulating and administering of the college’s policies and procedures including but by any means not limited to short –term and long term-plans and objectives.
  8. Address student complaints and conduct investigations as required. Service in the student disciplinary process.
  9. Deal regularly with and represent the college with a variety of individuals and groups in the community, in carrying out various public relations and promotional activities, coordinating and scheduling student services activities and programs including providing information about these programs and activities.
  10. Take an inclusive leadership role in preparing and delivering student orientations, registration. Commencement exercises, and other related activities.
  11. Liaise with the college’s student body association at the campus including student clubs and organizations.
  12. Perform other works and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in in psychology, higher education administration, student affairs or related field from a US accredited institution and five [5] years’ work experience in student support services, student affairs, counseling and advising or related experience in a higher education environment. Foreign credentials must be equated to US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Demonstrated commitment to student success. Must have proficiency in computers; good oral and written communication skills; assessment and evaluation in student support services; supervisory skills, team work ability and cultural sensitivity are essential.
