Duties:

Work and report to the CRE coordinator regarding food and nutrition.

  • Develop- food and nutrition information-related brochures, publications & other outreach materials.
  • Assist the coordinator in developing individual plan of work.
  • Provide information and management advice directly to homemakers, youth groups, schools, non-governmental organizations and interested individuals.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of workshops and programs, and implement suggested changes in areas of responsibilities.
  • Work with Health Service Department, municipal offices, and other government agencies, and homemakers in planning, organizing workshops at the community level.
  • Input and maintain computer database of all clienteles
  • Develop own monthly Plans of Work and submit to CRE Coordinator for approval.
  • Generate reports on program results and accomplishments.
  • Prepare public service announcement for the relevant media for awareness programs.
  • Serve on related committees as needed and perform other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in relevant program such as but not limited to: Nursing, Human Nutrition, Education and Social Services and two years of progressive experience in community development/health and nutrition and two years of progressive experience in youth programs. Bachelor’s degree in health, nutrition or related field is preferred. Ability to speak and write in both English and Chuukese languages. Ability and skills in the use of basic computer programs such as Microsoft word and other office machines. Able to write technical reports. Knowledge of communications (radio broadcasting) and possession of a valid driver’s license.
