Duties:

Work with coordinator to develop related brochures, publications and other outreach materials. Assist the coordinator in developing individual plan of work. Provide information and management advice directly to homemakers, youth groups, schools, non-governmental organizations and interested individuals. Evaluate effectiveness of workshops and programs, and implement suggested changes in areas of responsibilities.  Work with Health Services Department, Youth Groups, other government agencies, mayor’s offices and homemakers in planning, organizing workshops at the community level. Input and maintain computer database of all clienteles. Train and assist CES staff in area of specialty. Develop own monthly Plan of Work and submit to CRE Coordinator for approval. Prepares public service announcement for media awareness programs. Generate reports on program results and accomplishments. Serve on related committees as needed and perform other tasks as maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in nutrition, dietetics, education and social science or closely related field from a US accredited college and with two years of progressive experience in community development/health and nutrition and two years of progressive experience in youth programs. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards in the field of work using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Ability to speak and write in both English and Pohnpeian languages. Ability and skills in the use of basic computer programs such as Microsoft word and other office machines. Able to write technical reports. Knowledge of communications (radio broadcasting) and possession of a valid driver’s license.
