Duties:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the incumbent is to perform the following duties:

  • Research:  Identify funding opportunities and new program areas that match COM-FSM Mission Statement and institutional priorities; Research grant program and plans; Research grant opportunities and developing database lists of potential funding sources;
  • Preparation: Compile and write grants to corporate foundations, private foundations and government funding sources; Assists in the development of standardized text to be included in database for easy retrieval and updating as appropriate; Edit draft application for accuracy, completeness and clarity; Coordinate and plan funding program activities including the prioritization, planning and scheduling of activities to guide program efficiency and effectiveness;

 

  • Communication: Provide timely advice and information on funding opportunities, requirements and procedures; collaborated in defining and implementing project funding strategies; Report upcoming government, corporate and foundations grants; and
  • Grant Administration: Will interact with granting agencies and advise President, Vice Presidents, Deans through the Executive Director.

 

Minimum Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree in English or related field from a US accredited college with two years of successful work experience in the field of assignment. Master’s degree preferred. World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Experience: Successful writing of two or more grants, working in a fast pace environment with multiple projects with great success. Excellent organizational skills. Experience and knowledge of organization and administrative practices in an educational setting or institution is preferred. Knowledge: Grant application process and grant writing; excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to: work under pressure; gather, analyze, and evaluate a variety of data; plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
