Reporting to the CRE Coordinator, the incumbent will provide information and management advice directly to clients, schools, communities, groups, NGOs, on livestock topics and related subjects. Train and assist CES staff in are of speciality. Write monthly report quarterly, and annual reports including on-line reports. Develop individual plan of work (IPOW) based on National Instituation for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) plan priority areas. Peform other duties as assigned.
Associate degree in field of work from a US accredited college and (4) years of work related experience. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards in the field of work using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Must be computer literate, flaunt in Pohnpeian vernacular, able to speak and write in English, knowledgeable in livestock husbandry, crop production, and with the ability to work alone with minimal supervision. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to demonstrate written and oral communication skills in Pohnpeian vernacular and in English. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in animal science, horticulture, agronomy or related field with two years of work experience. Ability to create webpages and experience and knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel and grant writing.
