Duties:

Reporting to the IT Director, responsibilities include but not limited to these:

  • Provide clients with product support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation fo applications accessing the system servers;
  • Install new product releases, updates and fixes to major product groups across a number of platforms  including the Windows Based, UNIX, LINUX and/or Apple/Android Operating System products;
  • Set up the test environment to ensure products are compatible with system software (e.g. operating systems) and to ensure tolerance to new versions of related products;
  • Prepare documentation to update operating/user manuals;
  • Provide client support and consultation for applications using supported products;
  • Implement vendor fixes to resolve existing system problems;
  • Coordinate problem resolution with other areas within the division;
  • Conduct product evaluations for new/changing user requirements or for products that will enhance the service (i.e. performance, cost, functionality) to the client;
  • Researcher new products;
  • Provide technical support; and
  • Serve on committees as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
AS degree from a US accredited college in the field of assignment with at least 2 years of work experience directly related to the responsibilities of this position. We will consider a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of direct experience in the field of assignment OR a combination of both education and work experience that meet the responsibilities above. Must be familiar with Microsoft products, Linux and MySQL. Preferred a Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years of direct work experience.
