Duties:

Major duties include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate instructional programs, courses, workshops, and trainings for the campus;
  • Coordinate areas such as: professional development, student instructional and advising issues, classroom management, and curriculum development and library services;
  • Supervise and evaluate instructional faculty and library staff;
  • Develop credit and non-credit academic certificate or degree programs;
  • Develop and revises course outlines in all subject areas;
  • Develop non-credit training or workshops designed for the private and public sector and other members of the community;
  • Act as liaison between campus administration, division chairs, and faculty;
  • Act as a liaison between the campus and the community with regard to programs, courses, workshops, and trainings;
  • Provide effective communication between the campus and the VPIA’s office;
  • Promote effective communication between the campus faculty and faculty in the same content area throughout the college;
  • Communicate with the Director of CTE and Dean of Academic Programs.
  • Keep inform all faculty and staff of current regarding program development matters within the college;
  • Attend relevant meeting, training courses, workshops, conferences, and seminars;
  • May teach one (1) course in the area of expertise during fall or spring semester as needed; no summer teaching; and
  • May write and edit grant proposals pertaining to program development.
  • Serve on committees.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education or related field from an US accredited institution and two years of experience in program/curriculum development. Evidence of successful supervisory experience, grant writing/editing, written and oral communication skills in English; Demonstrated experience of effective communication with different groups (formal and informal); Experience leading a team and coordinating programs or activities comparable to the those under the duties section; Evidence of proficiency in the use of computer, Microsoft Word, and Power Point; Demonstrated commitment to student success; Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks working with different people, different level of managers in the organization, and beyond. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with faculty, staff, administrators, community members, government officials, and students. Some teaching experience.
Preferred two years of experience working or teaching ESL students.
