Duties:
  1. Plans, organizes, controls and directs the college-wide processes and operations of the registration, admissions and student records programs/services; interprets and applies federal and state mandated guidelines.
  2. Directs the activities of assigned programs/services to include; planning, implementing, administering and evaluating projects and services impacting the college.
  3. Establishes, monitors, evaluates and improves processes, procedures and/or standards, ensuring alignment with college’s mission, core values, strategic directions and goals, and federal laws and regulations.
  4. Acts as administrator to the college’s student information system-OARR module.
  5. Develops and administers policies pertaining to the overall student record keeping function of the college including student registrations, student applications, permanent records, transcripts, credits, grading, withdrawal, computer processing and statistical information. Responsible for the security and confidentiality of student records.
  6. Plans, develops, improves, implements and evaluates policies and procedures governing admissions and records, such as data system in order to achieve a more effective and efficient admissions process, grade processing, credit evaluations, transcript production, OARR forms, US veteran certifications, graduation, and the student information system data collections in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, as amended, and with the mission of the college.
  7. Advises and enforces college policies relating to registration, admissions and records.
  8. Collaborates and coordinates with the VPEMSS in the administration of the college’s entrance test including recruitment of students.
  9. Oversees commencement activities including maintenance of graduation files, preparation of graduation list, degree mailings, and coordination of commencement ceremonies.
  10. Develops and monitors the unit’s budget, and ensures that unit’s resources are efficiently handled in meeting OARR objectives, and other student activities.
  11. Hires, trains, supervise, evaluates and disciplines all staffs of OARR, and provides guidance and training to student services staff at the state campuses relating to OARR-related processes and procedures.
  12. Recommends course transfer and substitutions for COM-FSM course requirements. 
  13. Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree required in higher education administration or the equivalent from a US accredited college. Foreign credentials must be equated to US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Minimum of five years of college administrative experience required primarily in the areas of student records, registration, admissions or other support areas, including at least one year of supervisory experience. Experience in budget and student services planning at the college level is required.  Demonstrated commitment to student success, and experience in building strong student relationships. Demonstrated experience in organizing, developing, and implementing operational systems and writing guidelines in an educational setting and managing a high volume workflow office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
