This position will work under the supervision of the HR Director to perform work to support the recruitment and repatriation component under HR. New work is received in the form of specific instructions, but most work is carried out with considerable independence and consistent with established procedures and policies. Work is reviewed through written and oral reports, by consultation/meeting with supervisor and by observation of results achieved.

Duties:

Examples of work include but are not limited to the following:

  • Recruitment beginning with job vacancy announcements; oversee screening committees, print applications and communicate with job applicants, conduct reference and background checks, accreditation research on institutions attended by job applicants; prepare job offer and regret letters.
  • Paperwork processing of Travel Authorization, Permit Application, Visa[as applicable], Personnel Action, Employment Contract, Orientation, Residential Lease Agreement, Email introduction, Internal memorandum for shipping allowance and perdiem, etc.
  • Travel arrangement for new hires and departing personnel and their dependents, housing arrangement and notices, airport pick up or arrangement, Internal notice to IT for email and internet access, internal notice to supervisor(s) before arrival or departure, communication with external agencies regarding shipping and travel associated matters.
  • File management and organization of all the documents process for recruitment and repatriation in hard copies and electronically.
  • Coordination is essential with HR representatives on state campuses, mangers of vacant positions, departing employees and their supervisors, new employees, business office and other offices who have a part in the services carried out for new and departing employees.
  • Assist Director and other staff with major reports, projects and current priorities from month to month and year to year. Serve on committees.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, accounting, management or related field from a US accredited institution and three years of full time professional experiences in Human Resources or related field performing similar duties above. Evidencing Knowledge of: principles and practices of modern office management, file management, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft word. Demonstrate Ability to: read/understand HR technical and legal jargon, understand and follow complex instructions; effective communication with diverse personnel; analyze, interpret, and use sound logic and judgement in application of a variety of administrative rules and HR regulations; work as part of a team in accomplishing tasks and functions in a small and fast pace environment. Demonstrate/Give examples of: commitment to student success and achieving organizational mission. OR equivalent combination of education and experience which can support the services and responsibilities under this position. Candidate hires under the combination of education and experience qualification will be required to enter into a professional development plan that will be linked to the employment contract to ensure candidate achieves the academic requirement.
