Duties:

Under the supervision of the Researcher, the incumbent will provide administrative functions for the CREAM Project carrying out various activities including:

  • Coordination and oversight of project;
  • Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements;
  • Prepare workflow charts as per the approved plans;
  • Arrange and chair site meetings with clients and all project team members;
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed by field staff;
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures;
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project staff, clients, and other stakeholders;
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner;
  • Collect and review reports from field staff periodically;
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports;
  • Keep the Project Director and others informed about project status and issues that may impact progress;
  • Provide advice to project participants; serve as a liaison; acts as a resource person by analyzing information, providing documentation and preparing reports;
  • Monitor record keeping and file maintenance for the program and project;
  • Supervise field staff, assign tasks and set priorities; and
  • Verify and analyze the accuracy of all data information used or generated by project; resolve any discrepancies or problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Management field from a US accredited college with one year of full time work experience in the field of assignment. Management Experience/Skills: Knowledge of project planning methodologies and implementation, excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision, and ability to work with wide range of people. Software Programs: Knowledge of computers and database/spreadsheet/word processing software(Microsoft).Special skills, Abilities and Knowledge: Excellent communications and leadership skills, fluent in English, knowledge of Yapese and/or local vernacular is an advantage, and must possess a valid driver’s license.
