Duties:

1. Provide oversight and management of assessment of institutional student learning outcomes (ISLOs). Plan, implement and lead system wide assessment of the ISLOs across all departments and campus sites; compiles data and prepare reports in collaboration with appropriate divisions and offices; coordinate dialogue among divisions and offices to formulate recommendations for improvement of student learning and educational quality at the institution level; conduct study/analysis of correlation of ISLO data with other critical data from the college; and facilitate the use of institutional data in college planning and decision-making.
2. Provide oversight and management of assessment of general education (GE) core learning outcomes for degree and certificate programs including developmental education program component: plan, implements and lead system wide assessment of the GE core student learning outcomes appropriate for all campus sites; compile data and prepares reports in collaboration with appropriate instructional divisions and Instructional Affairs; analyze COMET testing data, placement, and GE student learning assessment findings and make recommendations for improvement of testing, placement; and coordinate dialogue among divisions and offices to formulate recommendations for improvement of student learning and general education program.
3. Ensure ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes for all courses and programs; monitors to see that faculty upload assessment reports to the assessment management system.
4. Develop resource materials and provides system wide workshops and presentations to help faculty streamline and improve assessment practices.
5. Provide leadership, consultation, and training to faculty to create an understanding of how the results of assessment of student learning outcomes are used to inform instruction, guide classroom teaching, and improve educational quality and institutional effectiveness.
6. Consult with divisions and program faculty in developing effective and manageable assessment of student learning activities.
7. Provide training and support on college assessment management system. Train faculty on use of assessment management system and updates on changes in the software. Provide leadership and oversight of academic supervisors to ensure timely entry of information and data into the assessment management system at course, program, and institutional levels.
8. Prepare annual college wide academic assessment report that addresses ISLO assessment, program assessment and program review, GE assessment and other assessment data. Prepare other reports as necessary. Make recommendations for overall improvement of assessment at the college. Assists with the design, implementation and analysis of research against assessment findings.
9. Conduct college wide forum to provide an opportunity for inquiry regarding student learning outcomes and continued college-wide dialogue on recommendations and strategies for improved teaching and learning.
10. Disseminate and communicates assessment results to appropriate constituencies, including current and prospective students and the public.
11. Stay knowledgeable about accreditation, including Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards and Commission policies.
12. Serve on committees.


Minimum Qualifications:

A Master degree in Psychometrics, Educational Assessment, or related field from a US accredited college with two years of work experience in the field of assessment. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database computer programs is required. Application and applicant must demonstrate successful administrative, coordination and communication skills and experience. Possessing skills and experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods is essential.
