Duties:

1. Coordinates the Third Year Certificate of Achievement in Teacher Preparation program college wide which includes; assessment of student learning outcomes; collection and review of admissions applications; administration of entrance essay; site visits; submission of reports including program review; scheduling of program courses; and oversight of curricula development. Assists with registration; participates in student academic advising; participates in commencement; maintains regular office hours; participates in assigned standing committee; provides service to the college or community; participates in professional development activities; establishes a Third Year Program data base to include all National and State TYP enrollees; and performs other assigned duties.
2. Coordinates the UOG/COM-FSM Partnership BA Program on-campus and external (UOG/SOE) aspects of the program including recruiting candidates, vetting candidates for the program and for acceptance into ED 492/498. Prepares the 4th year budget based upon current revenues. Collects, reviews and forwards student admissions application packets to UOG/SOE including administering entrance essay; recommends scheduling of program courses at the COM-FSM National Campus; assists division chair to identify instructors and make arrangements for visiting UOG faculty as needed for partnership UOG courses; attends divisional meetings, activities and participates in appropriate divisional and campus committees; develops systematic procedures for collecting and maintaining student data including the student teaching experience and reports results; communicates and reports program accomplishments and highlights to division chair, college administration, participating schools and UOG, performs other duties as assigned. Acts as liaison with local public schools for placement of student teaching candidates, and assures regular seminars are conducted. Assigns and orients student teachers in their designated school sites and cooperating teachers, informs student teachers/interns of student learning outcomes and expectations for their student teaching experience, conducts school site visits during the semester at participating schools with students, mentors and principals;advises and mentors student teachers as appropriate before, during, and after student teaching/internship; supervises student teachers/interns in the compilation of student teaching portfolios and facilitates students’ presentation of final portfolios, reviews student evaluations together w/education faculty and submits final grades, plans for and participates in course and program level assessment of student learning outcomes and program review.


Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in education or related field from a US accredited college. Foreign credentials must be equated to meet US standards using World Education Services at http://www.wes.org. Two years of administrative work at the post-secondary level is required. Must be knowledgeable in and carry out planning; allocating resources, coordinating curriculum and personnel, and assessing programs. Competency in Word and Excel. Demonstrates experience with development and assessment of program and student learning outcomes. Proffered skills and abilities include: experience coordinating or administering college programs, work in COM-FSM system, basic knowledge of word processing in general and TracDat and possess experience working in a multicultural international setting.
