Duties: Responsible for teaching up to 15 contact hour course load each semester in marine science, environmental studies and fisheries biology in accordance with the student learning outcomes of the course. Fulfills other faculty responsibilities such as committee work, academic advisement, developing/revising outlines, registration, division planning, and assessment including program level student learning outcomes assessment. Participates in College activities and performs other duties as assigned by the division chair person. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the College of Micronesia-FSM.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Biology, Marine Biology, Fisheries, or an equivalent field from a U.S. accredited institution or have course work and degree equivalated by a recognized U.S. agency. Must have two years of teaching experience at the post secondary level. Primary interest in and firm commitment to the teaching/learning process in the two year college. Experience in instructional design, and new course and program development based on measurable student learning outcomes. Ability to work effectively with Pacific islands minority students, colleagues, and staff. Overseas teaching experience, research experience, and dive master certification preferred.
