Duties: Accepts delivered books, other merchandises and reconciles with invoices, purchase orders, or delivery receipts. Opens and closes Bookstore in accordance with detailed procedures in the manual. Prepares and transmits receiving reports, sales transactions, charge and inventory listings to the Bookstore and State Campus Accountant and the book store Manager. Performs retails sales activities (i.e., sales, buyback, process cash, credit transactions). Works with various activity heads to coordinate all syllabi to determine order quantities, delivery, and inventory through the bookstore manager. Keeps and maintains files of records for internal/external audit purposes. Maintains the bookstore's inventory to ensure orderliness and cleanliness. Ships cancelled and unsold books back to the National Campus bookstore if necessary. Serve on committee as necessary. Updates and maintains database of store inventory. Minimum Qualifications: College graduate with an AS/AA in Business preferred. Six months of general customer service and retail experience plus one year of specialized experience of work involved in posting of accounting records and other systematizing of fiscal information. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of standard accounting classification and terminology pertinent to accounts maintenance operations and office practices and procedures relating to the processing and recording of transactions and accounting information. Two years in retail experience preferred. Ability to perform technical and clerical duties in retailing and shipping industry. Knowledge of office machinery. Computer literate.
