1 The previous chapter showed how to use '--extract' to extract an archive
1 into the file system.  Various options cause 'tar' to extract more
1 information than just file contents, such as the owner, the permissions,
1 the modification date, and so forth.  This section presents options to
1 be used with '--extract' when certain special considerations arise.  You
