1 14 Customizing Key Bindings and Variables
1 *****************************************
1
1 Info allows you to override the default key-to-command bindings and
1 variable settings described in this document. (The '--vi-keys' option
1 rebinds many keys at once; ⇒--vi-keys.)
1
1 On startup, GNU Info looks for a configuration file in the invoker's
1 'HOME' directory called '.infokey', i.e., '~/.infokey'.(1) If it is
1 present, then Info adopts the key bindings and variable settings
1 contained therein. To use an alternative configuration file, use the
1 '--init-file' option (⇒--init-file).
1
1 Variables may also be set on the command line with the '--variable'
1 option (⇒variable-assignment). Variable settings on the command
1 line override settings from the '.infokey' file.
