1 Autoconf changes, and throughout the years some constructs have been
1 obsoleted.  Most of the changes involve the macros, but in some cases
1 the tools themselves, or even some concepts, are now considered
1 obsolete.

1    You may completely skip this chapter if you are new to Autoconf.  Its
1 intention is mainly to help maintainers updating their packages by
1 understanding how to move to more modern constructs.
